Assistantships for the New Scholars Seminar @ DH 2015

At DH2015, centerNet and the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes (CHCI) are providing joint funds to assist 10 graduate students to attend a New Scholars Seminar (NSS), a one-day event immediately preceding DH 2015 at the University of Western Sydney (UWS) in Sydney, Australia next July. It would be designed to help new scholars affiliated with CHCI centres develop a shared vision of the next generation of digital humanities research and encourage the networked research collaborations that will help bring that vision about.

Agenda for Transitional International Executive Steering Committee Meeting at DH2014

2014 is a transitional year for centerNet as we adopt our new governance structure. Consequently, this International Executive Meeting will be highly participatory, with extended time for unstructured group work and sharing of ideas, in the THATCamp or Unconference Model (also known as Open Space Technologies).

DHCommons Founding International Editorial Board

DHCommons has a new editorial board! As centerNet’s flagship publication, DHCommons has taken on the task of peer reviewing mid-stage digital humanities projects from around the world in multiple languages. These new board members will assist the Founding Co-Editors-in-Chief Ryan Cordell (Northeastern University), Isabel Galina (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), and Laurent Romary (Humboldt Universität Berlin and INRIA) to prepare DHCommons’ Vision Statement, Submission Guidelines, and Review Guidelines.

Call for participation in DíaHD (Día de Humanidades Digitales)

Call for participation in DíaHD (Día de Humanidades Digitales) to be held on 10th of June 2013. Similar to DayofDH the aim of the project is to document for one day what digital humanists do. This particular version focuses on digital humanists from Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries or researchers from other parts of the world that work primarily in these languages.

We hope to provide a forum that will help us identify digital humanists in these regions as well as providing them with the opportunity to share their work:
